OnTarget v1.10 installation for the Mac OS

During a recent conversation with the developer of the iPhone Apps; iSnipe™ and ShotPlot™ he graciously offered to help create a Mac OS installation package for OnTarget v1.10. He has provided the installation package and the following information for installing OnTarget on a Mac computer.

The OnTarget Mac package Requires an Intel™ Processor, it will not run on older PowerPC Macs. Additionally, OnTarget uses WINE to interpret Windows-native code into something that Mac OS X can run; WINE requires X11 to run (a cross-platform windowing system distributed with OS X). Below are instructions to install X11 for use with OnTarget.

Installing OnTarget-Mac under Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard); X11 Comes Preinstalled.

1. Download OnTarget v1.10 for Mac .
2. Install OnTarget-Mac.
3. Run OnTarget.

Installing OnTarget-Mac under OS X 10.5 (Leopard); You must install X11 first...

1. Insert your Mac OS X Install disc. (If you have two discs it will be the Install Disc 1).
2. In the window that pops up double click on Optional Installs (You may need to scroll down).
3. In the new window that pops up double click on Optional Installs.mpkg.
4. In the installation window click Continue.
5. Read through the License Agreement and choose Continue if you agree.
6. Click the triangle next to Applications in order to expand the directory.
7. Put a check in X11.
8. Click Continue.
9. Click Install.
10. Wait for the installation to complete and then click Close when it is complete.
11. Download OnTarget v1.10 for Mac.
12. Install OnTarget-Mac.
13. Run OnTarget.
